How To Make Sweet Apple Pie Cake

I love to cook, but baking has never really been my thing. With cooking, you can adopt the “a little bit of this, a little bit of that” attitude. Baking, however, seems to be a much more exact science. Adding just a bit too much or a bit too little of one ingredient can completely throw off the entire recipe. That’s why when I do bake, I’m looking for simple, fail-proof recipes that also happen to be delicious.

And I’ve found one that perfectly fits this description! Marya “Marta” Krause shared her recipe for Apple Pie Cake-Mix Cake with AllRecipes. “My mum taught me this recipe when I was just learning to bake, and I still use it for parties as it is a crowd-pleaser,” she explains. “Having only three ingredients, it is super quick and easy to make. A dollop of vanilla ice cream tops it very well.”

This recipe is so simple, it’s almost as though it was tailor-made for me. All you have to do is pour the pie filling, cake mix, and melted butter into a baking dish. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes, cool, and then serve (topped with a huge spoonful of vanilla ice cream, of course!). You’ll be left with the perfect combination of apple pie flavor and cake texture. Delicious.
