David Beckham and King Charles recently shared beekeeping tips at the king’s Highgrove home in Gloucestershire, England. The 49-year-old former footballer visited on June 1, when he was named ambassador of The King’s Foundation, an educational charity founded by Charles in 1990.

Beckham, who has developed a love for the countryside and rural skills, expressed his excitement about his new role. He told Hello! Magazine, “It was inspiring to hear from the King about the work of His Majesty’s foundation and compare beekeeping tips!”

Beckham, who began beekeeping during the pandemic, is eager to promote the foundation and support its educational programs, especially those giving young people greater access to nature. He previously met with King Charles in May and gifted him honey harvested from his own bees, which Charles appreciated.

King Charles had reduced his public duties earlier this year due to cancer treatment but resumed his responsibilities in April. Buckingham Palace stated that his schedule would be adjusted as necessary to support his recovery.
