Garlic Steak & Potato Foil Packets

Garlic Steak & Potato Foil Packets are a delicious and convenient way to cook a hearty meal with minimal cleanup. Here’s a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into cubes
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the steak cubes, sliced potatoes, sliced onion, minced garlic, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the steak and vegetables are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  3. Tear off four large pieces of aluminum foil, each about 12 inches (30 cm) long. Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the foil pieces, placing it in the center of each foil piece.
  4. Fold the foil over the steak and potatoes, then fold in the sides to create sealed packets.
  5. If grilling, place the foil packets directly on the grill grates and cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping once halfway through cooking. If baking, place the packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam), sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

These foil packets are versatile, so feel free to customize them with your favorite seasonings and add-ins like bell peppers, mushrooms, or your favorite herbs. Enjoy your delicious garlic steak & potato foil packets!
