Slash, the legendary guitarist of the iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses, shared the heartbreaking news of his stepdaughter’s passing in a social media post on Sunday.

Lucy-Bleu Knight “passed away peacefully” in Los Angeles on Friday, July 19, at the age of 25, Slash revealed.

“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul,” stated the musician, born Saul Hudson, to his 4.2 million followers.

The cause of Knight’s death, whose parents are Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, remains unknown. According to Entertainment Weekly, Slash and Hodges started dating in the late 1980s but eventually separated, rekindling their relationship in 2015. Hodges also confirmed the tragic news on her social media.

Lucy-Bleu Knight is survived by her stepmother, Samantha Somers Knight, her sister, Scarlet Knight, and her stepbrothers, London and Cash Hudson.
