Lord Robert Fellowes, a trusted figure to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana, passed away at 82. As the husband of Lady Jane Spencer, Diana’s sister, he was also an uncle to Prince William and Prince Harry.

The couple had three children: Alexander, Eleanor, and Laura. During the 1990s, Lord Fellowes served as the private secretary to Queen Elizabeth, navigating turbulent times, including the divorces of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, as well as other royal separations. He played a crucial role during the Windsor Castle fire of 1992 and was deeply involved during the aftermath of Princess Diana’s tragic death. He staunchly refuted conspiracy allegations surrounding the crash, defending his integrity. Born at Sandringham, where his father served the Royal Family, Lord Fellowes was later honored as Baron Fellowes of Shotesham. His passing on July 29, of undisclosed causes, was mourned by family, including a heartfelt tribute from Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, who praised him as a man of humor, wisdom, and integrity.
