Courtney Sanford, a 32-year-old woman, tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on Interstate 85 in North Carolina moments after posting a Facebook status and selfies. While driving alone on her way to work, her vehicle inexplicably crossed the center reservation, colliding with a recycling truck and causing a fire. Despite the severity of the accident, there was no evidence that speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors. Authorities later connected the timing of her Facebook post with the crash, highlighting the dangers of distracted driving. Lt. Chris Weisner from the High Point Police Department emphasized that this tragic incident serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of paying attention on the road.
