Smith, Officer Michael Krol, Officer Patrick Zamarripa, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, and Mr. Brent Thompson—they felt privileged to be seated nearby. The restaurant had set aside the table, adorned with a sign and an American flag, as a tribute to these officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
