King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer and has begun treatment in London, just a week after recovering from a procedure for an enlarged prostate. The 75-year-old monarch’s health issues were first identified during a routine check-up at his Birkhall residence in Scotland, leading to his hospitalization on January 17.

After being discharged from the London Clinic on January 29, doctors discovered a separate issue that subsequent tests confirmed as a form of cancer. Health experts note that it’s not uncommon for cancer to be detected during imaging or tests conducted for unrelated medical concerns.
