Authorities are looking for a person of interest following a shooting that injured several individuals near a Kentucky highway.

On Saturday, officials reported that multiple people were shot near a highway north of London, Kentucky, and a person of interest remained at large. London Mayor Randall Weddle noted in a Facebook video that while seven individuals were injured, not all of them were harmed by gunshots—some were involved in car crashes.

There were no reported fatalities. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office stated that the shooting occurred near I-75, leading to the closure of Exit 49 due to an active shooter situation, though no additional details were provided. The London Police Department released a photo of Joseph A. Couch, a 32-year-old white male, 5’10″ and 154 lbs, who is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
