They married in 1976 when she was pregnant, but faced complications when their son was born, diagnosed with meconium aspiration. After three years, their second child, a daughter, arrived, but their marriage ended in 1981 due to differing views on fidelity; she desired an open marriage while he wanted tradition. Following their split, she found love with Kurt Russell, and together they navigated blending their families. As tensions grew between her children and their biological father, he expressed feelings of betrayal after their Father’s Day social media posts. Despite the strained relationship, the musician reflected on the bond formed with Kurt as a positive influence in their lives.
