Recently, liberal billionaire Jon Stewart mocked Elon Musk on “The Daily Show” after Musk interviewed former President Donald Trump on his social media platform, X.
Stewart and Mark Cuban suggested Musk had ulterior motives in his controversial takeover of X in late 2022, aiming to influence public discourse. In response, Musk, a strong proponent of free speech, asserted that he protects freedom of expression on his platform, explaining that X’s open-source algorithm tailors content based on user interactions. He humorously noted that if users engage with “right-wing” accounts, the algorithm will show them more of that content, emphasizing the platform’s transparency.
