Amou Haji, a hermit from Iran, gained global attention for not bathing for 67 years, citing personal reasons for his extreme lifestyle. Known for living off roadkill and smoking animal dung, he preferred scavenged food over what was offered to him and drank water from a dirty tin can.
Despite his unconventional hygiene, he lived to 94 and was reportedly healthy until villagers convinced him to bathe shortly before his death. Dr. Gholamreza Molavi’s tests revealed he had good health, though he contracted trichinosis, which surprisingly didn’t affect him significantly.
