One morning, a wife finds a note from her husband on the fridge: “My dear wife, you know I have certain needs that you, being 57, can no longer satisfy. I hope you won’t misunderstand that I’ll be spending the evening with my 19-year-old secretary at the Comfort Inn. Don’t be upset—I’ll be home before midnight.” When he arrives home late, he discovers her response on the dining table:
“Dear husband, thank you for your honesty about my age. Just a reminder: you’re also 57. While you read this, I’m at the Hotel Fiesta with Michael, a 19-year-old student and assistant tennis coach. As a successful businessman, you’ll understand that we’re in the same situation, but 19 goes into 57 more times than 57 goes into 19. I won’t be home until tomorrow.”
