Donald Trump left the Super Bowl early, despite spending an estimated $15-$20 million to attend due to security, travel, and logistics costs.

 

As the first sitting president to attend the event, Trump departed around 8 PM local time, during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show. Speculation about his early exit includes three theories. One suggests Trump was disappointed by the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Eagles, as he had previously spoken positively about the team. Another theory points to Lamar’s halftime performance, which some interpreted as a protest against Trump. The third theory suggests Trump’s early departure was simply due to logistical reasons, with security concerns and motorcade coordination prompting him to leave before the crowd.
