‘CHEERS’ FAN FAVORITE PASSES AWAY AT 75 — HOLLYWOOD MOURNS TV ICON

George Wendt, best known as Norm Peterson on Cheers, has died at 75. His family confirmed he passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 20.

Wendt starred in all 275 episodes of the hit show, earning six Emmy nominations. Co-stars Ted Danson and John Ratzenberger paid tribute, calling him “brilliant” and “irreplaceable.”

The actor had battled health issues in recent years, including heart problems. His final public appearance raised concerns among fans.
