San Diego Plane Crash Leaves Multiple Dead, Homes And Cars Engulfed In Flames

Emergency crews rushed to evacuate residents as flames spread rapidly. Despite the destruction, officials have reported no injuries or casualties — a miracle in such a densely populated area.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the aircraft involved was a Cessna 550, which typically holds six to eight passengers. The jet crashed at approximately 3:45 a.m. near Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport. The number of people on board has not been confirmed.

Authorities have issued evacuation orders for Salmon, Sample, and Sculpin Streets. Residents are being urged to avoid the area and to report any sightings of debris or the smell of jet fuel to 619-531-2000. Southbound Santo Road is closed at Aero Drive, and an evacuation center has been set up at Miller Elementary, 4343 Shields Street.
