WHY THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS ISN’T IN THE BIBLE

The Gospel of Thomas contains 114 secret sayings attributed to Jesus — but it’s not part of the Bible. Why?

🔹 Not Apostolic: Though named after the Apostle Thomas, it was written in the 2nd century, long after his death.
🔹 No Narrative: It skips Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection — key elements in the biblical Gospels.
🔹 Gnostic Teachings: It focuses on secret knowledge over salvation through Jesus’ sacrifice.
🔹 Different Message: It says the kingdom of God is “inside of you,” and identifies ignorance, not sin, as humanity’s problem.

Some call it heresy. Others see spiritual depth. Either way, the Gospel of Thomas offers a radically different take on Jesus.
