In a stunning survival story, three girls missing from Camp Wrenwood after the Texas floods were found alive inside a hollow oak tree, nearly 10 days later. Ages 8–10, they survived on rainwater and remembered a pre-camp safety drill.
Rescuers discovered them by chance after a faint cry was heard. Using plastic wrappers to collect water and huddling together for warmth, the girls showed remarkable resilience.
Now safe, they told rescuers, “We believed in each other.” Across the U.S., they’re being hailed as heroes: #HollowTreeHeroes is trending.
