Hollywood Legend Robert Redford Dies at 89

Robert Redford, Oscar-winning actor and director, has died in his sleep at his Utah home. Known for iconic films like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All the President’s Men, and The Way We Were, Redford also won an Oscar for directing Ordinary People and continued acting into later life with roles in Indecent Proposal and A Walk in the Woods.

Redford founded the Sundance Institute and transformed the Sundance Film Festival into a major platform for emerging filmmakers, while advocating for environmental preservation and speaking against its commercialization. He received multiple awards, including Golden Globes and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and is survived by six children from his two marriages.
