Omar drew backlash after saying Kirk’s death reminded her of his past comments on guns, slavery, and George Floyd. She later walked back her remarks, but GOP leaders say she crossed a line. Kirk, 31, was assassinated last week during a Utah campus event, and suspect Tyler Robinson faces aggravated murder charges.
