Candace Cameron Bure Refuses to Back Down Following Backlash Over ‘Inappropriate’ Photos With Husband

Candace Cameron Bure has recently been the focus of significant media criticism. The actress recently made headlines for comments about “traditional marriage,” which did not sit well with all her admirers.

Candace Cameron Bure met Valeri Bure, the man she would marry at a hockey game in 1994. They began dating in 1994 and married on June 22, 1996.

They’ve been married for nearly 20 years but still make time for each other and try to keep their love alive.

Seeing the playful side of their marriage in a story Bure shared on Instagram was fun. Nonetheless, the actress received a strong reaction from her viewers, who took her lighthearted attitude as disrespectful.

And, despite the criticism, Bure did not back down. Instead of backing down, she posted the photo on her Facebook page. Two images she uploaded online showed the “sweet and spicy” character of her love for her husband. Valerie’s arm is wrapped around his wife’s shoulder, and his hand is on her chest in the second image.

Fans cautioned her that the photo was unacceptable for a ‘Christian celebrity’ of her caliber. Nonetheless, the actress had a response for her detractors. “I’m sorry if that offended you… I’m not sorry,” she laughed in a follow-up video posted to her Instagram stories. “I’m glad we’re still having fun after all these years.”

After 24 years, she claimed she exhibited the results of a “good and healthy marriage.”

“It makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she added in a subsequent Instagram story video. “He has the right to touch me whenever he wants, and I hope he does.”
