8-Year-Old Paints A Masterful Portrait Of Jesus, Claiming To Have Seen His True Face

Akiane Kramarik’s painting “Prince of Peace,” an ethereal depiction of Jesus created when she was just 8, was recently rediscovered after being stolen, mistakenly sold, and kept hidden for 16 years.

Now 28, Akiane, a best-selling author and philanthropist, painted “Prince of Peace” due to a persistent “visionary inspiration.” She explained, “It comes from God. His voice is soft and lovely.”

Raised in a non-religious household in Idaho, Akiane’s sudden spiritual awakening surprised her family. Her mother, Forelli Kramarik, noted, “We didn’t attend church, pray together, or talk about God.”

A vision of a carpenter inspired Akiane to paint “Prince of Peace.” She recalled, “I spent a long time looking for a [Jesus] model,” and after praying, a carpenter resembling Jesus appeared at their door. “I told my mother that was him,” she said.

After years of legal battles, Akiane recovered the painting, which she sold to a private collector. The “Prince of Peace” is now exhibited at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas. Reflecting on its return, Akiane said, “It’s still surreal to me… Love is incredibly potent.”
