The words of wisdom from a 100-year-old veteran for our sacred nation gave me chills

We’ve been celebrating Veterans all weekend, and tonight, we’ve got the spotlight on Ernie Micka, who’s a hundred years old. Big thanks for sticking with us. I’m Doug Proffitt, and joining me is Rachel Platt. We first introduced you to Ernie back in June. He’s part of the Greatest Generation, but he’s too humble to admit it. WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Anyway, Ernie’s got a ton of wisdom at a hundred years old. When we met him on the Honor Flight to Washington, he shared some emotional moments about his time in World War Two. He’s still active, driving around and tending to his summer garden, which he loves dearly.

But it’s not just about his activities. Ernie’s got a motto he lives by – it’s who he is. He talks about respect a lot, especially in today’s world where it seems to be lacking, especially in politics.

Despite all that, Ernie’s optimistic and full of life. It’s inspiring to see someone like him, who’s been through so much, still holding onto hope and spreading positivity.
