Our heartfelt condolences and support are with Jon Bon Jovi.

Days before her 83rd birthday, Jon Bon Jovi’s mother, Carol Bongiovi, passed away at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Described by Jon as a “force to be reckoned with,” Carol was a former Playboy bunny and founder of the Bon Jovi fan club who met her husband, John Bongiovi Sr., in the U.S. Marine Corps and raised their family in New Jersey.

Jon, who has often credited his parents with providing incredible support for his musical career, reflected on their unwavering encouragement to pursue his dreams. Jon, married to his high school sweetheart Dorothea Hurley, has four children, including Jake, who recently married “Stranger Things” actress Millie Bobby Brown in a small ceremony, prompting Jon to marvel at the rapid changes in his family as he prepares for the next chapter as a grandparent.
