His death was confirmed by director Tommy McLoughlin, who remembered Rydbeck as a kind-hearted and genuine individual.

Born in Los Angeles, Rydbeck began his acting career in the 1970s, appearing in popular shows like “The Brady Bunch” and “MAS*H” and films such as “Rocky II” and “Love at First Bite.” He also gained recognition as “Larry” the crash test dummy in 1980s seat belt safety PSAs. Rydbeck’s career spanned decades, including appearances in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Murder, She Wrote,” before retiring in 2007 to teach drama at Pasadena City College. His legacy as a talented actor and beloved figure in entertainment will be cherished by fans and colleagues.
