Singer Faces Backlash For Saying She’s ‘Not Making Music For White People’

During her candid conversation with Vanity Fair, Lizzo flat-out denied that she makes music for a“white audience.”

Instead, the 34-year-old musician creates music that exemplifies her black experience. With a mix of genres flowing their Lizzo’s tunes, you can pick up on bits of hip hop, gospel, and R&B. She also has hit anthems like Good as Hell and About Damn Time that has skyrocketed to the top of the pop charts.
