(VIDEO)The Only Co-Star Who Truly Hated Alan Alda on M*A*S*H

One of the most popular and successful American TV shows of all time is M*A*S*H. Among the cast members who became a star thanks to the show was Alan Alda, who played what became the lead role of “Hawkeye” Pierce. Alan Alda is also, without a doubt, one of the most respected actors in show business as well as one of the best-liked personalities. But not everyone liked working with Alan Alda on the set of M*A*S*H.

Actor Gary Burghoff left the show after 7 seasons. While this wasn’t said out loud, it was later revealed that many of the cast members had difficulty working with him. He particularly had a difficult relationship with Alan Alda. But he also grew tired of the show and wanted to move on to other things and wanted to focus more on his personal life. Mike Farrell and Alan Alda were great friends but also had a friendly rivalry. At times, their friendly rivalry was able to translate on-screen and this made things interesting for their characters’ dynamic relationship. But there were times when they also had creative differences as Alan Alda was later heavily involved behind the scenes for the show. Wayne Rogers was given a heartfelt sendoff when he passed away from Alan Alda. But the two of them had their issues as Wayne Rogers felt that his co-star got more attention at the expense of the other cast members. As one can see, there were many behind-the-scenes issues that one wonders how the show managed to carry on for so long. Larry Linville, for example, had a reputation for being difficult to work with and this caused many issues for his co-stars and even won him the ire of fans.
